Jimmy Allen

Born in Chanute, Kansas, Jimmy Allen started playing guitar in his teenage years.

He moved to Kansas City with the dream of starting a band and pursuing a career in music. Ads were posted in music stores looking for like-minded musicians to jam and have a good time with.

Amongst the people who responded to the ad were drummer Kenny Burkitt, bassist Sean Sammon and of course singer Wes Scantlin.

After jamming the song 'Would' by Alice In Chains everyone was blown away by Wes' vocals and Puddle of Mudd was born.

For Puddle, Jimmy wrote and co-wrote hits such as 'You Don't Know', 'Drift & Die', 'She Hates Me' and 'Blurry'.

Going by the continued success and popularity of these songs one could easily label Allen & Scantlin as the Lennon & McCartney of the rock world.

The original line-up of Puddle of Mudd won the Banzai Awards 1994 for 'Best Group'.

For 'Blurry', Puddle of Mudd received the Billboard awards 2002 for 'Modern Rock Track of the Year' and 'Rock Track of the Year' and the ASCAP award 2003 for 'Song of the Year' as well as the Kerrang! award 2002 for 'Best Single'.

For 'She Hates Me' (which is actually another song that was created in the mid-1990s) they won the ASCAP award 2004 for 'Song of the Year'.

The 2001 album 'Come Clean' was certified triple platinum by the RIAA in 2003 and as of today has sold over 5,000,000 copies.

Jimmy re-joined Puddle of Mudd for a couple of shows in 2005/2006.

In his 2007-founded band 'Against All Will', Jimmy's tremendous songwriting talent shines through yet again. Check out their CD 'A Rhyme & Reason' which was recorded in Korn's studio and released by Subsonic Industries, Jimmy's own independent label.

Songs like 'The Drug I Need', 'All About You' and particularly 'Swept Away' will blow your mind and are supported by well thought out and well produced music videos.

Jimmy is a gifted songwriter and guitar player and as cool a rockstar and person as you can imagine. A little rock god in his own right.

Jimmy is currently working on new stuff in the studio.

He truly is one of a kind, with great love for his fans and for his instruments of choice, guitars!

If you love Puddle of Mudd, you got to love Jimmy Allen. A cool rockstar with a beautiful heart and a beautiful smile. A magician on the guitar and one of the kindest souls on this planet.
